The Singapore Science Park II, part of the Singapore Science Park, is one of Southeast Asia's foremost addresses for research and development. Park I was set up in 1980 by the Singapore government to promote research and development in Singapore. Following the success of Park I, Park II came into existence in 1993. Tenants in the Science Park include British Petroleum, Centre for Wireless Communications, Exxon Chemical, Seagate Technology International, Sony International, the National Computer Board (NCB) and the National Science & Technology Board (NSTB).

The objective of the Park is to provide a focal point for research, development and innovation in Singapore and the region.

The management of the Science Park was privatized in 1990. It is now owned and managed by Ascendas Pte Ltd.
